Personality

Tsukiko has long been able to wear a mask of confidence, outgoing, grace, sincerity, and sensuality. A mask she wears as she is to appease her clients. Under the mask, she holds the true traits of cynicism, paranoia, scheming, caution, just an overall scene of neuroticism.
Only the people she can truly come to trust, she becomes genuinely kind and almost maternal in her desire to care for them.

Beginnings:Tsukiko Uchida, grew up in a relatively decent life along with her parents and two sisters. The only misfortune she had was due to her more shapely features, she was deemed 'fat' by her female peers and shamed. Tsu only really had her family to rely on, her mother being the glue that held everyone together. Growing through her teen years she went to school, learned basic hobbies but had more of a fascination with herbology and how it works with medicines and poisons. Traveling outside of her city to a forest nearby to try and study new herbs, she found herself curious with poisonous herbs and flowers. Oftentimes testing some on herself to see the side effects, rather it me a low grade poisoning to a type of poison she needed a healer for.
Tsu's dangerous hobby often got a lecture by her mother when found with rashes, burns, or bumps on her arms. But Tsu still continued her studies with her nose in a book while her hand held her newest herb finding.Tsu held a good bond with her sisters, Keiko, who was five years younger than Tsu, always very book smart and compassionate. Always eager to learn and always outshining her peers in class with her brains. While Junko, who was twelve years younger, was very outgoing and had a very hyper personality for being so young.A few weeks after Keiko's sixteenth birthday, their mother had fallen deathly ill from a genetic disease. Two days later, after healers' attempts, she passed. The events of their mother's death had only spiraled Tsu's life out of control...Age 21After their mother's death everything began to spiral. Their father immediately became depressed, turning to drinking and gambling in the nightlife of Bukyo to numb his pain. Their parental parents, Tsu's grandparents, witnessing their son's absences decide to turn to Tsukiko and have her accept an eternal bond proposal to the son, one of the many great lords in Hingashi. A proposal that could help the family with their issue in gil.The son, Satoshi, was very cruel and abusive towards Tsu as he realizes she does not quickly turn submissive to him. He would berate, humiliate, and physically abuse her. Even before their official wedding, Satoshi committed a cruel act towards Tsukiko which left her feeling broken and utterly wretched.Before Tsu could consider fleeing from the whole ordeal, Keiko contracted a chronic immune system disease that if she cannot get the proper medicine will die overtime. When Tsukiko turns to Satoshi begging for help on affording the expensive medicine, Satoshi refused and felt disgusted that Keiko was ill. As Satoshi turns his back and Tsukiko knows Keiko will die without the medication. Tsu knew she had to take action and help secure the gil for her sister's medicine, which in turn made Tsukiko travel out of Bukyo and to Kugane.Age 21-26Tsukiko had tried to find work quickly at the port city of Kugane but work was hard to come by for a woman of her tiny stature and no muscles. The Raen had found herself at a store called that fronts for a brothel. There she worked herself quickly up from a standard yujo to a Oiran with her beauty making men instantly want to purchase her, it made the proprietress put a higher price tag on her.Tsu worked tirelessly to entertain men with music, tea ceremonies, sex, etc. all to earn gil to send back for her sister's medicine. Tsu has seen hell and abuse from how men treat her, her soul constantly breaking but she knew keeping her sister alive was all worth it.Until Junko had snuck into the brothel, the little Raen informed her sister of Keiko's death. Tsukiko stood stunned by the news, how the medicine was to keep her alive and well. Junko explains that since no one is working at home, she believes their father had been turning the gil from her sister and to be only gambling/drinking currency. Not only that, but Satoshi, her now ex-fiance, had demanded a high sum of gil from Tsukiko's betrayal on breaking their engagement.Tsu felt her soul snap... grief and rage fill her very bones as she felt utterly betrayed. She worked herself to the bone for nothing but helping the men in her life who let her down. Not a single gil went to her cause of keeping her sister alive, Tsu felt sick...

then the wish for revenge set in…

current plot

Tsukiko was able to be bought out of her contract from the brothel, she paid off her debt that she had kept in secret from the brothel's eyes. The person who broke her from the brothel for some time helped her train in combat and in swordsmanship. When he disappeared, that's when she collided with her old best friend. Her friend offered to train her and she happily agreed, for time they both trained for a long while. But Tsukiko grew more and more impatient, she hated that the people who caused her sister to die were still living and breathing.As her best friend went missing for some time, Tsukiko impatiently bought a sword and took off with a plan. Three souls would lose their lives that night, to a short Seeker male. The short Seeker male was merely a glamoured Tsukiko that had killed all three people that had a hand in Keiko's death, it was her father who surprised her the most. He pulled a blade on her and cut her arm clean off as she went in to kill him, but it was her father who fell to his death. Tsukiko fled, losing a lot of blood and nearly made it to a back alley medic in the back alley of Kugane.Kugane awoke to a brothel owner, a lord, and a dock worker all murdered in the same manner but no one could puzzle together who had done it. Any eye witnesses only saw a short male leave the scene, but not a Raen. That's what relieved Tsukiko as she lives, and stands tall from the sins she committed. When she was healed, Tsukiko took a large wooden box then chopped her hair off with her sword and wrapped it around the sharp metal. She buried her sins in a box with symbols of evil carved into the box.

Once upon a time, Asher had washed into Kugane with nothing to himself. Tsukiko, at the time, was a younger and a bit chubbier girl which often caused frequent teasing. Asher had one day seen the harassment of the girl and scared off her bullies. Tsukiko who was utterly thankful shared her lunch with Asher, which from there they became fast friends. Her mother was thankful of Asher and would always pack Tsukiko two lunches, one for her and Asher. Asher easily kept her bullies away, and they grew a tight bond which from there Tsu grew a deep crush for Asher.All too soon, Asher had disappeared as fast as he swept into her life. It wouldn't be until she left the brothel, broken and angry, did she run into him. Both souls had lived a life of hell in different ways, Asher saw her desire and need to kill those who helped kill her sister. Asher was the one who trained her for the inevitable deaths, and it was there did Tsukiko realize her childhood crush was much more. She loved this man, adored this man, and would do anything for him. Just as she would do anything for him, he would do anything for her in return. The two souls constantly dance and skirt around their feelings but one day... the Raen remains hopeful and prays constantly that Asher will one day will accept her love and she would take care of him. Wishing to take him away from the dark path he was deep in.
